Our Impact

Our History

The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council was founded in 1988 by a group of visionary leaders from different religious communities who recognized the need for a unified platform to address the challenges facing religious minorities in Bangladesh.

In the aftermath of political changes and growing concerns about the rights and security of religious minorities, these leaders came together to establish an organization that would advocate for religious harmony, protect minority rights, and promote inclusive development.

Over the past three decades, BHBCUC has evolved in its structure and scope, but has remained steadfast in its commitment to its founding principles. It has played a crucial role in advocating for policy reforms, responding to incidents affecting religious minorities, and building bridges between different communities.
